How does your opening title sequence use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Our inspiration for our OTS was the insidious(2010)
Our video demonstrates the OTS of insidious, as you can see from the bottom right corner the clips are very similar in the way they are filmed and edited. As well as using insidious(2010) as our inspiration we also have small sections of the OTS of paranormal activity one(2007), however we have not included this in the clip as it not our main feature.

Conventions Challenged:
Our opening title sequence doesn't challenge conventions because we wanted to set the atmosphere by having dark areas and an old spooky house, we know this is successful from looking at other sequences, we wanted to make it clear to the audience to what they are about to experience. we used a slow pan across to draw the audience in so they feel involved in the movie right from the beginning.

This scene shows the outside of a spooky house. We felt that this scene from Insidious fitted well with our OTS as it creates a mysterious atmosphere. Also the pan down from the top of the house to the centre of the house intensifies the fear in the audience. Just like insidious our OTS uses an old tudor house, although the lighting isn't as intense as insidious it still creates the tense atmosphere we want to create. Regarding the pan movement in the insidious scene, we also used pan movement, however instead of using a pan down, we used a pan to the right, we decided to do this throughout the whole OTS so that it feels like someone is walking round the house walking.
